MEAL INTERN
LOCATION: HARARE
DURATION – 1 YEAR
Fambidzanai Permaculture Centre (FPC) is a local Zimbabwean NGO founded in 1988. FPC implements various community development projects aimed at establishing a food-secure Zimbabwe through the promotion of sustainable land-based food systems, specifically permaculture and agroecology practices. The organization is looking for a MEAL Intern whose role involves implementing the project’s MEAL system, collecting and analyzing data, and producing reports on project performance and impact.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assisting in the development and refinement of project data collection tools
- Collecting, cleaning, and analyzing both quantitative and qualitative data to track project progress, indicators, and outcomes.
- Conducting routine data quality assessments to ensure accuracy, reliability, and validity.
- Compiling and producing regular reports on project performance, including quarterly and annual reports.
- Documenting lessons learned, best practices, and success stories
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Recent graduate or studying towards a degree in Agricultural Economics, Monitoring and Evaluation, Statistics, or related field.
- Proficiency in the use of MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of SPSS, Stata, Kobo Toolbox, and other data entry and analysis packages
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Team player with the ability to work in multicultural and multidisciplinary settings.
