Fambidzanai Permaculture Centre (FPC) is proud to have been part of the just-ended 115th edition of the Zimbabwe Agricultural Show which was running under the theme “Building bridges: Connecting Agriculture, Industry and Communities,” providing a platform for FPC to showcase its innovative work in agroecology and sustainable farming practices.
As the world grapples with the challenges of climate change, sustainability has become a critical imperative.
The President of The Republic of South Africa, His Excellency Cyril Ramaphosa’s remarks during ZAS 2025 Official Opening highlighted the need for collective action to address climate change, resonates deeply with FPC’s mission.
“Climate change is one of the most significant threats facing our planet, and it requires a collective response from governments, businesses, and civil society,” President Ramaphosa emphasized.
FPC’s work that spans over 3 decades in promoting sustainable agriculture practice remains an indelible footprint on this collective effort.
Throughout the week, FPC’s stand became a hub for farmers, industry experts, and communities coming together to learn about sustainable agriculture practices and these interactions attracted visitors from all walks of life, ages and gender with the youth showing great interest.
The stand featured interactive discussions, agroecology demonstrations, and expert soil analysis, showcasing the Centre’s expertise in these areas.
Fambidzanai Permaculture Centre’s participation at the Zimbabwe Agricultural Show 2025 is a prime example of its commitment to building bridges between agriculture, industry, and communities which align perfectly with the Upcoming National Good Seed and Food Festival where FPC will once again be at the forefront of promoting food sovereignty and diversity in communities through sustainable agriculture practices and agroecology, creating a more resilient and environmentally conscious agricultural sector.
