FPC SHOWCASES SOIL LAB SERVICES AT SEED-CO ANNUAL HORTICULTURE FIELD DAY

Fambidzanai Permaculture Centre (FPC) participated in Seed Co’s Annual Horticulture Field Day held on the 5th of December, joining farmers, researchers, agribusinesses, and development partners for a key industry knowledge exchange event.

As part of its exhibition, FPC showcased its Soil Laboratory services, highlighting how soil testing, analysis, and advisory support contribute to improved crop productivity, ecological land management, and climate-resilient farming. The display attracted farmers eager for solutions to declining soil fertility and production challenges, offering them practical insights on how soil diagnostics inform sustainable farming decisions.

Through one-on-one interactions, FPC representatives explained the importance of soil health in agroecology, promoting balanced nutrition, organic soil amendments, and evidence-based interventions. The platform also allowed the institution to strengthen partnerships, engage potential clients, and reaffirm its growing role in supporting farmers and agroecology practitioners nationwide.
By attending the Seed Co Field Day, FPC reinforced its commitment to knowledge sharing, farmer support, and driving climate-smart solutions positioning the Soil Lab as a valuable service for enhancing productivity, sustainability, and resilience across farming systems.
