RENEWABLE ENERGY EMPOWERING WOMEN FARMERS: A Case of Women Farmers in Matobo
Women farmers in Matobo have displayed some commendable effort towards ensuring their household food sovereignty and economic empowerment. Through technical support from Fambidzanai Permaculture Centre in partnership with Practical Action, the smallholder farmers are keenly working towards halving hunger and raising standards of living through horticultural production. Nine agroecology nutrition garden projects distributed across their respective areas are expanding their capacity to feed their families and send their kids to school. Read More

The Organic Soil Testing Laboratory Now at the Advanced Stages
Fambidzanai Permaculture Centre would like to acknowledge the solid grass-roots support from Bread for the World that has currently seen the organisation embark on a massive organic soil testing laboratory construction project. The organic soil testing laboratory is a blessing to Zimbabwean smallholder farmers who for a long time had either got a few chances or even none to access soil analysis facilities, majorly because of some financial constraints and the uneven distribution of these facilities. The laboratory is now nearing completion and is expected to be finished soon (we are going to keep you informed). The enormous structure which is being erected within the natural forests of Fambidzanai is now at gable level and is expected to be finished by the end of August this year. Read More
